The Big Picture

Throughout my career, my teaching has centered around four interconnected areas:

MEDIA LITERACY

I help students understand media, messages, audiences, and the technologies that shape how we communicate and consume information.

DESIGN & STORYTELLING

I teach students to think critically about what they want to communicate, who their audience is, and how to plan an effective message before they begin creating.

PRODUCTION

I provide hands-on experiences in photography, graphic design, audio production, video production, animation, and studio broadcasting, using technology as a creative tool rather than an end in itself.

COMMUNICATION

I believe students learn best when they create work for an authentic audience, reflect on its effectiveness, and use feedback to improve

My Production Model

No matter the technology or project, my instructional process has remained consistent:

Plan → Create → Communicate

I believe meaningful technology education begins with thoughtful planning, continues through purposeful creation, and concludes with reflection and continuous improvement. Every project is an opportunity for students not only to develop technical skills, but also to become stronger thinkers, creators, collaborators, and communicators.
